Kamala Harris appealed to supporters after the defeat in the election (waiting for her release on the stage ran a squirrel, and people in the comments to the broadcast managed to joke that this is apparently the spirit of a squirrel PeaNut, who was killed by the authorities of the city of New York a few days before the election). The event sparked a row and cast a shadow over Democrats and Harris in particular.
Kamala Harris thanked everyone for their support and said the result was not what they expected, but we had to fight.
Harris also said she congratulated Trump on his victory.
“We have different emotions now, but we need to accept the results. I spoke to Trump, I said we would help them with the transfer of power, the peaceful transfer of power. The central tenet of American democracy is that if we lose an election, we accept it. This is the main difference between democracy and monarchy and tyranny. We as a nation are committed not to the president or party, but to the Constitution of our country, Harris said.
