A U.S. court has sentenced 22-year-old Air Force National Guard soldier Jack Teixeira to 15 years in prison for leaking classified Pentagon information via Discord - CNN

According to the US authorities, Teixeira from February 2022 to March 2023 posted secret Pentagon documents in a chat in Discord for 600 participants to impress friends. He leaked, among other things, information about the supply of APU equipment and the movement of Ukrainian troops.

The prosecution has asked for Teixeira to be sentenced to 17 years in prison, insisting he was responsible for one of the most significant intelligence records in U.S. history that endangered service members and soured the country's relations with allies. The accused pleaded guilty.
