15 November - US, Japan and South Korea to establish tripartite secretariat
>> A senior U.S. official said the leaders of the U.S., Japan and South Korea were expected to agree on the creation of a tripartite secretariat to coordinate their countries' cooperation.
>> US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters the goal was to have an institutional framework.
>> US President Joe Biden arrived in the Peruvian capital Lima on Thursday to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum.
Biden is scheduled to hold a trilateral summit with Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru and South Korean President Yoon Sok Yel on Friday.
Sullivan said, "We fully expect this to continue" under the new administration of President-elect Donald Trump.
