> I may not have the best eye for it but I'd say that is an achievement.
yeah and let´s hope it remains enjoyable while it lasts. The more, the better.
> I'm probably count myself as one more open to taking full detours to the show at times. This is probably do to the influence of the various fanfics that I have read.
makes me wonder what kind of fanfics you have read. Although if you were used to reading the edgy stuff, then it´s no wonder you feel lax in these aspects in comparison to that content.
> Still sticking a little closer isn't so bad and can have it's own fun... not t mention keeping you grounded.
yeah. However, I think that will be the most over the edge detour that this fic will have (I think). It´s just that I didn´t know any better but set up a series of detailed feelings of Celestia´s head while falling so it makes the twist less forced and more as a plot device for the next part. Not to mention that my objective was clear: Celestia transforming into what she had feared before.
> Oh, I hope I can find one of the early hits that completely went off the rails.
like Fluttershy would say: "Oh...oh dear"
> there is one in particular that shows how much the fandom has matured
what year does it come from?

> As I said just let it flow and see where it goes. I think it's almost more fun that way anyway.
Pinkie wants fun...yeah, we´ll have fun. It will flow and the works you have praised the most went into that route. I "might" have a few ideas rotating out there in my mind yet I´ll have to find the way to introduce them or even apply decently.
To sum up: Let´s see because the ride won´t end here. Just that the bridges haven´t been built yet.
