Good info to discuss, especially with the imminent return on 8chan as 8qun. "From their dashboards, Board Owners were able to create two types of accounts: Board Volunteer (with moderation powers) and Reporter (without any moderation powers). Reporters did not have access to any moderation action buttons. For example, Reporters could not ban any users or delete any posts; likewise, they did not have access to post histories. "Volunteers can also see a user's truncated IP address hash. Did not know about Reporters, sounds like a specialized function or one not used much. What I don't know is how standardized functions like these are on free speech image boards (am an 8chan baker but not an chan oldfag). Thoughts, anons?
