SC anon here, we definitely were hit by a cyclonic storm, cat 2s are generally considered a joke/day off around here.
We were in the midst of a coronal hole stream during the intensification of Dorian. The Sun certainly caused this. The strange thing is the 48 hour stall of the storm.
