and turning away yr attn does not mean becoming apathetic
it means becoming emotionally non-reactive
that's why Q places emphasis on facts, etc.
Now we can't always control emotional reactivity right away--which is why prayer helps
but just now i hopped over to voat
to clear my mind

to become calm and functional
Best idea: help someone else and stop worrying about ourselves
Easy to get in too 'deep' with this kind of work
Go walk, smell a flower, have coffee/beer, read something funny
