In new book, Trump Jr. lists Trump’s top wins, ‘safer, richer

Donald Trump Jr. has led the family effort to draw attention to President Trump’s achievements — and the media’s refusal to list them. But now he has a new weapon in his arsenal that he released today, his 294-page book, Triggered: How The Left Thrives On Hate And Wants To Silence Us. In laying out the case for his father’s reelection in 2020, Trump Jr. ends with a chapter dishing up a list of the administration’s first term achievements for the president’s supporters.

“I’m not exactly a Hallmark type of guy,” he wrote. “But every once in a while, I do look back at what my father — and the rest of my family and friends — have managed to accomplish these past few years, and even I am taken slightly aback.” Clearly, Trump Jr. does not believe that the media will note those promises kept. “Have you ever seen a story — just one story — that broke in favor of Trump instead of the other way around?” he asked. As a result, he provided his own list that includes:

    Record job creation.
    Lowest unemployment in 50 years.
A commitment from businesses to train 4 million.
    1 million manufacturing jobs.
    6.2 million off food stamps.
    The 2017 tax cuts.
Doubling of child tax credit to $2,000.
    Named two Supreme Court justices.
    Funding for the border wall.
    Cut in illegal immigration.
Cut more than two Obama-era regulations for every new one put in place.
Greenlighted the Keystone Pipeline and Dakota Access pipeline.
Lifted the hold on $50 trillion worth of U.S. energy reserves.
Boosted chances for peace on the Korean Peninsula.
Moved U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
Ended participation in Paris climate agreement.
    Killed NAFTA.
    Ended the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal.
Pulled the U.S. out of the deal with Iran crafted by President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry.
Added “more affordable healthcare options for Americans through association health plans and short-term plans.”
FDA has approved more generic drugs than ever.
Changes to Medicare have cut overcharging of low-income seniors.
Trump signed Right to Try legislation, approving experimental drugs for the terminally ill.
Set aside $6 billion to fight the opioid epidemic.
Helped to reduce opioid prescriptions 16%.
Reformed veteran’s healthcare by signing the VA Choice Act and VA Accountability Act.

“I could go on, but I think you get the point,” wrote Trump Jr. “I know there are plenty of people out there who don’t like me and don’t like my father. But just because you don’t like the messengers doesn’t mean you have to hate the message. That message is making the lives of millions and millions of Americans safer, richer and more hopeful,” he added.
