Exponential Change

The deep integration of computational technology in every area of human endeavor has caused a knowledge explosion. We are creating more new, objectively true scientific knowledge faster than ever before in human experience of history. 

New knowledge is a good thing, but it means we sometimes introduce powerful non-linear technologies before we understand unanticipated emergent effects

nonlinear technologies pose existential risks upon widespread adoption or as a result of unforeseen  interaction(s) with existing or future nonlinear tech.  

 
For example, we learned that genetic information was stored in an aperiodic crystal, sequenced the genome and developed gene editing technology within a few decades. 

Exponential technologies like CRISPR have non linear properties. IE An tiny input by one individual, or a single experiment could alter the destiny of a species, or render it extinct. 

 

Any determined individual could extinguish all life on Earth. Danger is not confined to CRISPR all new non linear technologies potentially interact in unforeseeable ways.

Things don't seem to happen faster than they used to, they DO happen faster.  We need a way to manage exponential change - which an anonymous, inherently insecure unfixable network like  the the internet is not possible to do. 

 
 However if we build an identity based information system to replace the internet, we can manage exponential change, and we can instantiate the rights of We the People in the protocols in such away they can never be altered, abridged or removed except by stipulated process. 

The information system of our future makes it *impossible* for governments marketers and cults to spy on, rob us or propagate deception. 

The information system of the future is secure for all because it is secure from all, especially the people who build it. 

Our anonymous irremediably insecure internet could and would have been replaced long ago we it not for the advantage anonymous networking provides to criminals and spies, child pornographers, drug dealers and human traffickers.

The internet security business is a multi billion dollar extortion scam - it not only facilitates and potentiates every form of crime, it is the principal vector for cult manipulation of the information supply.
