The Las Vegas City Council announced the legislation on Wednesday that bans toy and replica firearms in the city’s hallmark Fremont East district

Fake firearms are also banned on public sidewalks bordering the area, bill says Violators of the bill can be charged with a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine, according to the document 

Bill was passed despite it being legal to carry real firearms in the state of Nevada
