WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. judge early Sunday blocked the Commerce Department from requiring Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Inc's Google to remove Tencent Holding's WeChat for downloads by late Sunday.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Laurel Beeler in California said in an order that WeChat users who filed a lawsuit "have shown serious questions going to the merits of the First Amendment claim, the balance of hardships tips in the plaintiffs’ favor."

This isn't going to stand. She's a Magistrate judge. Her job is traffic tickets and petty theft. Crazy California Leftists. She is out of her lane and can be fired and should be.

Magistrates have fewer and more limited powers than judges. They can hear different types of cases. Judges generally hear larger, more complex cases while magistrates hear smaller matters such as petty crime and traffic offenses. There is a difference between the power given to a judge over a magistrate.
