The Civil War 1863 Chattanooga Campaign. Historians discussed the Chattanooga Campaign, which took place in the fall of 1863, and resulted in Union forces under General Ulysses S. Grant breaking through a Confederate siege. The Union victory opened the door for General William Tecumseh Sherman's Atlanta Campaign the following year. The New-York Historical Society, in New York City, hosted this discussion.

American History TV: Vietnam Prisoners of War 50th Reunion. Vietnam-era prisoners of war reunited at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum 50 years to the day after President and Mrs. Nixon hosted them at a 1973 White House dinner. Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger addressed them by video, and the White House dinner was recreated in the library's replica East Room. The reunion dinner commemorated the 1973 signing of the Paris Peace Accords that ended the Vietnam War, and which was followed by the POWs homecoming.

Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden hosted a conversation marking President Harry Truman's desegregation of the United States military with Executive Order 9981 on July 26, 1948. Her guests were Rep.
