U.S. Officials Testify at House Hearing on Chinese Communist Party Aggression FEBRUARY 28, 2023
Officials from the State Department, USAID, the Development Finance Corporation, and Commerce Department testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on efforts taken by the federal government to counter Chinese Communist Party aggression. Several topics were discussed, including China's human rights abuses against the Uyghur population and other ethnic minorities, guarding against intellectual property theft, the impact of sanctions and export controls, China as a trading partner, and support for the people of Taiwan. They also addressed China's perceived support for Russia's invasion of Ukraine. close
