I'm reminded of a very old joke from the early 1970s:

One man to another:  "Here, get her to take this."  He holds out an empty hand.

The other man:  "What is that?"

First man: "It's an invisible birth control pill.  If she'll swallow that, she will swallow ANYTHING."
