Even at trial in Federal Court with Judge Hellerstein, Airlines never released official lists.
The Court did a lot of cortortions to hide all the paperwork; including assigned a lawyer to look at the papers, and report back.
No public ever got to look.
Sounds legit.
Newspapers were the "official source" for the passenger lists;
