Depends on accent... the root is fair game for various pronunciation, as it appears in many languages.

I mostly hear "An-on" emphasizing An or "Ah as in apple Ah-non" which is correct per latin root, and some say "auh as in autumn auh-Non"/"uh-Non" emphasis on Non. I have never heard someone say "A"-non, but that also seems closer to latin root than 'uh-non". But if you listen to english pronunciation of anonymous, german of anonym, french of anonyme.. seems like it could all be fair game.

Ay to me, unless preceded by a consonant, reads as "Ie" definitely never heard "i"non. but i'm definitely retarded, this whole time i've been interpreting aylmaos with a bit of a mexican flare, like ay yay yay, dios mio, lmaos. funnier that way, mightve been a beaner pepe that i first saw say it.
