🌍☢️ Ghana, Nigeria and Kenya can start producing nuclear energy in the next few years and the majority of African countries will be able to do the same by 2030, Mikhail Chudakov, deputy director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), told Sputnik

▪️ According to the official, IAEA infrastructure missions are training African countries, which are new to the world of atomic energy, to transition to the peaceful use of nuclear power.

▪️ Chudakov added that Africa is keen to develop nuclear power because the continent's population is expanding rapidly and there is a shortage of energy sources, such as coal, gas, and oil, which are also considered "harmful to the environment" by international green campaigners
