2018 White House Correspondents' Dinner
Journalists, politicians, and celebrities gathered for the White House Correspondents' Association annual dinner, where journalism awards were presented. Comedian Michelle Wolf headlined the event, and Bloomberg News senior White House correspondent and Association President Margaret Talev was the host. House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI), appearing in a pre-recorded video, congratulated scholarship winners.
For the second consecutive year, President Trump did not attend, but members of his administration were present including White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.

Campaign 2020: Hillary Clinton Endorses Joe Biden for President
2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden was joined by Hillary Clinton on a virtual town hall, held via streaming video, focused on the impact of COVID-19 on women. Toward the beginning of the event, she officially endorsed Mr. Biden in his 2020 run for president. She said she knew him well through their mutual work in the Obama administration as well as in the Senate, and said he was the leader the U.S. needed as it sought to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Later, the two continued to discuss the pandemic’s impact on women who worked as essential workers and out of their homes.

The Presidency: President Reagan's First Press Conference - 1981. Ronald Reagan gave his first press conference nine days after taking the oath of office on January 20, 1981. Questions about the recently resolved Iranian hostage crisis and its aftermath dominated a discussion that ranged from domestic affairs to the new administration's foreign policy priorities.
