Second, this is a MUCH better bill that is closer to being a real continuing resolution (not an omnibus masquerading as a CR), but with support for hurricane victims & farmers, as well as a reasonable extension to the debt ceiling.

If Dems reject this & government shuts down, they deserve to lose bigtime in the midterms.

As they climbed the steps to the guillotine, they sang out the Laudate Dominum:

For his loving kindness has been bestowed upon us,
and the truth of the Lord endures for ever.”
Each woman was silenced only as the guillotine fell upon her neck.
The eldest nun, 78 year old Sister Charlotte, used a crutch and couldn’t get out of the cart that carried her into the square
As such, she was thrown face down onto the street — when she arose, she thanked the guard for not killing her, thereby “not depriving her of her share in her community’s glorious witness for Jesus Christ.”
There is much to be learned about the nature of the evil that led to the execution of these innocent women…
But there is even more to learn from their bold example and martyrdom

This CR had the same level of spending today as it did yesterday, but the debt ceiling was suspended, meaning there was no limit on the debt. I don’t trust Congress or the government to spend responsibly without any limits.
I cannot in good conscience vote to continue Joe Biden spending levels months into Trump’s presidency.
If we did a very short CR that took us to Jan. 20th only or if we had single subject votes on the spending measures inside the bill - there likely would have been a lot more support.
We are $36 trillion in debt. We have to get this right.
It’s now or never.
