Legacies of the Vietnam War. Fifty years after the end of the Vietnam war in 1975, scholars discussed legacies of the conflict including Agent Orange remediation, veterans' disabilities, efforts to find missing soldiers, and unexploded munitions. This event took place at the Stimson Center in Washington, D.C.

From Saigon to the White House - A Vietnamese Refugee's Story. France Hoang's family fled Vietnam in 1975 at the end of the war - and his journey has taken him from child refugee to West Point to combat zones to the White House. He detailed his success story, which was possible because of President Gerald Ford's "Operation New Life" - a program that allowed more than 130,000 Vietnamese refugees to start new lives in the United States. The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan, hosted this program.

Reel America: "Normandy, the Airborne Invasion of Fortress Europe" - 1944. Produced by the U.S. Army Air Forces, this film details the planning, training, combat operations, and after-battle summaries of the airborne forces which arrived in Normandy, France as part of the 1944 D-Day invasion. The film features the role of more than 13,000 parachuters and 500 gliders which were dropped behind enemy lines on the night of June 5 and morning of June 6.
