SIBLEY COUNTY, Minn. (Valley News Live/KARE11) — The possible belongings of Vance Boelter, the suspect in the fatal shooting of MN Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, appear to have been located by law enforcement.
What appears to be Boelter’s cowboy hat and a vehicle of interest were found along the roadside in Sibley County.
It’s also being reported the wife of Boelter was in a vehicle with people detained by law enforcement. The Mille Lacs County Sheriff, Kyle Burton, confirmed to KARE 11 that Jenny Lynne Boelter was in the vehicle with people detained in the Onamia area.
The manhunt for Boelter continues after what authorities called a targeted shooting that killed Rep. Melissa Hortman (DFL-Brooklyn Park) and her husband, Mark, stretched into Sunday. State Sen. John Hoffman of Champlin and his wife, Yvette, were also shot multiple times in a related shooting and are recovering, officials say.
