The U.S. stepped in as the defendant under the Westfall Act, and the case was dismissed due to sovereign immunity.
Bobulinski, once tied to Hunter Biden’s business, sued Goldman over X posts made after Bobulinski’s 2024 House Oversight Committee interview and testimony. Goldman called him a “Trump campaign plant” pushing “lies” and tagged his testimony as “Russian disinformation,” even hinting at perjury charges. Bobulinski said the posts, some from Goldman’s personal account, were meant to smear him.
