Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture Centennial. Joy Bivins, who serves as director of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, discussed the 100th anniversary of the 1925 founding of the Harlem-based research library. A focal point of the Harlem Renaissance, the Schomburg Center is devoted to the preservation and exhibition of African American culture and is part of the New York Public Library. This event took place at the 2025 U.S. Book Show in New York City.

Martha Blanding & Tim O'Day, "Groundbreaking Magic". Martha Blanding broke a color barrier at California's Disneyland, becoming the park's first Black official tour guide in 1971 - joining the highest ranks among Disney cast members as employees are known.
