A friend told me...on a recent Friday in a very blue city they had a Court hearing. After the hearing they needed to submit a police report about a threat with a weapon. The police dept didn't answer the non-emergency number all day so they decided to call 911. When police answered they said because of the riots there are no available police and they are only responding to emergencies. Saturday riots continued, Sunday same. On Monday no answer on non-emergency number most of the day until someone answered and said no one was available and to file online. The call was then forwarded to the automated phone system. Tuesday the same. 

The city was not covered by police for at the least 3 days. All it would take is another event during riots.

Many politicians were involved in making sure citizens were not protected by police. It makes one wonder if this current situation is a set up for something else.
