Aaron Reitz @aaron_reitz - My son William and I arrived in Kerr County yesterday. We spent several hours walking the banks of the Guadalupe River with local officials and volunteers looking for people still missing or unaccounted for. A team on-line with us found a body along the river about 40 yards to our right. Terrible, but it brings some resolution, albeit tragic. We then dropped some generators and energy drinks at the local fire department before heading over to the State’s Emergency Operations Center for quick visits with Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) Chief Nim Kidd and head of the Texas Game Wardens Ron VanderRoest.
Today was morning muster and the operations order briefing, press conference, and more search and rescue.
