Brendan Carr @BrendanCarrFCC - President Trump's day one commitment to restoring free speech rights for everyday Americans prevented the U.S. from following Europe down this path of censorship.
"British police made 12,183 arrests in 2023—an average of 33 a day—under laws that make it illegal to say something “grossly offensive” or share content of an 'indecent, obscene or menacing character' via a public communications network"

Why do we defend these people?
Europe’s loosely defined hate-speech laws and the rise of social media have created fertile ground for authorities to crack down on those seen to be stirring up trouble https://wsj.com/world/europe/europe-crackdown-free-speech-26d021b1?st=HDY7ei

Brenden Dilley @WarlordDilley - I'm being inundated with hateful, weird replies (which is normal for me).
What's not normal is that every single one has zero spelling errors and is phonetically correct.
How rare is 1000+ perfectly spelled and grammatically correct, hateful replies?
I can see the Matrix...

Head of DC Studios attempts to backtrack after sparking backlash for saying new Superman movie is about an “immigrant” while appearing to take a dig at MAGA.
James Gunn attracted criticism for saying Superman is “an immigrant that came from other places.”
When asked about the reaction to his comments, Gunn explained that the movie is for “everyone” and that he doesn’t have “anything to say to anybody” spreading negativity around Superman.
“I’m not here to judge people. I think this is a movie about kindness and I think that’s something everyone can relate to.”
His previous comments appeared to take aim at the Trump Administration and MAGA supporters over deportations of migrants.
“I mean, ‘Superman’ is the story of America. An immigrant that came from other places and populated the country, but for me it is mostly a story that says basic human kindness is a value and is something we have lost.”
