Julie Kelly @julie_kelly2 - I cannot blame the president for his frustration. He was asked twice about it yesterday during press gaggles, both times giving different answers that only fuel the media frenzy. This will, too.
What a colossal waste of time and what a squandered opportunity to instead tell the success of his presidency so far.
At this point, no amount of disclosure will be enough. Internal and/or public facing investigations will not be trusted. Even a wide ranging press conference by top officials will be picked apart by the Right and Left.
This is exactly why I said I did not care about release of the "Epstein files" versus the other scandals the Trump DOJ/FBI and Congress could focus on. Now personnel and resources are being devoted to this bullsh*t scandal while the clock ticks away--and there is absolutely no winning even if it produces a scalp (or scalps) in the next few days.
Never understood the demands over this case--and now it has created the biggest crisis in the Trump presidency so far with no foreseeable chance of resolution or appeasement of he "EPSTEIN FILE" drum beaters. Hope y'all are happy
