Skscartoon @skscartoon - Or governments.
It could destabilize the entire region, derail peace talks and trade talks, and undo international treaties.
In reality, there might be good reasons to suppress the information in the files; much information might have been destroyed anyway.
However, it's how the administration is handling the case that's problematic. You can explain to the base why it needs to be slow-walked and handled with extreme care.
What you don't do is tell everyone that you're all wrong and just get over it.
Sometimes you don't even need to give the TRUTH; you just need to be TRUTHFUL about it.

Speaker Mike Johnson @SpeakerJohnson - House Republicans aren’t going to be lectured on transparency from the Democrat Party that worked to cover up President Biden’s lack of fitness for office and his scandalous use of the autopen.
Republicans remain committed to passing crypto legislation, the Defense appropriations bill, and rescissions legislation — but Democrats didn’t take that opportunity seriously in the Rules Committee, and instead resorted to an obscure procedural and political stunt to try and distract the American people from their own failures.
The Rules Committee needed to approve the rule without any amendments, so that is what I recommended.
Reps. Foxx, Fischbach, Houchin, Langworthy, Scott, Griffith and Jack voted correctly on all amendments in committee so that our House can swiftly pay our brave soldiers and enact the most important cryptocurrency legislation in our country’s history.
All House Republicans are for truth and transparency. And we know President Trump can be trusted to make the right decisions, to stand for justice, and to protect the innocent.
I’m thankful for President Trump getting involved tonight to ensure that we can pass the GENIUS Act tomorrow, and agreeing again to help us advance additional crypto legislation in the coming days. Much more to come!
