Many of the people who advocate for such a site, don't live in the neighborhoods that they're placed in. The drug users rob local businesses to feed their habit. Our tax dollars should not be used to subsidize, and encourage addiction. It should be used to rehabilitate those victimized by addiction. Enabling addiction is not the answer.
Over 46 years I have spent with the Guardian Angels patrolling the streets of these neighborhoods. I understand these victims, and what they need.
As mayor, I will be restoring safety to our neighborhoods while extending an open hand to those who seek help, not funding their self-destruction.
