Saint James Hartline @JamesHartline - DOGE Police Blotter: Why has the U.S. Treasury Department in Parkersburg, West Virginia made a $121,913 payment to 87 year-old Mad Maxine Waters' super PAC for her 2026 re-election campaign after she was just fined $68,000 for violating Federal campaign finance laws?
The campaign disclosure form states the payment from the U.S. Treasury was for a refund of disgorged payment. If a campaign committee deposits a contribution that appears to be legal and later discovers that it is prohibited, the committee must refund the contribution to the original contributor (if known) within 30 days of making the discovery.
The FEC voted unanimously 4-0 on April 29 to fine Mad Maxine Waters $68,000 for violating several campaign finance laws, according to recently published documents from the agency.
The bipartisan vote came one day before Republican Commissioner Allen Dickerson chose to leave at the expiration of his term instead of staying on in what is known as a "holdover stage" to preserve quorum. Federal law requires the FEC to have at least 4 commissioners to perform its most critical enforcement functions.
According to OpenSecrets, the FEC found that Mad Maxine Waters' 2020 campaign committee, Citizens for Waters, "understated contributions and expenditures by hundreds of thousands of dollars, accepted $19,000 worth of excessive contributions and made $7,000 worth of 'prohibited cash disbursements' from a petty cash fund."
Waters' campaign committee did not object to paying the fine and agreed to send its treasurer to a FEC-sponsored training program for political committees. This is not the first time her campaign has come under investigation. The FEC voted 5-1 in 2021 to dismiss a complaint that she accepted an illegal campaign contribution in 2018.
Waters has previously funneled over $1 million in campaign funds to her shady daughter for "work" on her campaign.
Crooked Mad Maxine Waters has a long history of corruption and being held liable for illegal campaign contributions, as well as her insidious links to convicted crypto thief Sammy the Bankman-Fried.
Mad Maxine Waters will turn 87 years-old on August 15 and the decrepit, corrupt old racist refuses to leave Congress as she prepares to shuffle her way into another re-election campaign for 2026.
