'He Is Afraid of the Islamists in Britain' • Israeli Minister Tells Far-right U.K. Agitator Tommy Robinson That Keir Starmer Is 'Weakest PM Since Chamberlain' in Visit to Israel

The leader of Britain's growing far-right movement spent Thursday on the Gaza border, where he heard from Israelis who fought in the war. On Saturday night, he will deliver a talk at a Tel Aviv gathering

British far-right activist Tommy Robinson on Thursday visited Israel's southern border with Gaza, where he was warned by his host, a Likud cabinet minister, that if the United Kingdom did not address the threat of radical Islam more forcefully, "I'm not sure there's gonna be a Britain."
Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli told his guest – a well-known anti-Muslim, anti-migrant agitator – that Britain's Labor-led government was "the weakest since Chamberlain, maybe even worse."
"The strategy of Keir Starmer is driven by fear," he told Robinson in an interview broadcast on Urban Scoop, a U.K.-based media platform he uses for fundraising and public messaging.

"He is afraid of the Islamists in Britain; he is afraid of states like, maybe, Turkey and Qatar. I think it is important to understand – this is not about Hamas and Israel. This is about the Muslim Brotherhood, which is a huge global movement."

When asked by Robinson why he thought the British government was not acting more vigilantly against such perceived threats, Chikli responded: "They want to buy time. We need to be honest, Israel made the same mistake. That was the lesson of October 7."

When Robinson told Chikli that Starmer's government "does not represent the majority of the British public," the Israeli minister responded: "I understand that very well, I see the polls, and I'm very happy with the polls, and I'm very happy with your work."
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is the widely acknowledged leader of Britain's growing far-right movement and has been a driving force behind anti-immigrant riots across the country.
