George Santos @MrSantosNY - Yesterday, I was given something I never thought I’d have again: a true second chance at life. A chance to grow, to change, and to walk a better path.
First and foremost, I want to thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for never abandoning me. I’m far from perfect. I’ve made mistakes, I’ve stumbled, but I never lost faith in Him. His grace carried me when I couldn’t carry myself, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
I also want to express my deepest gratitude to President Donald J. Trump. Earlier today, I had the honor of speaking with him personally, a conversation I will never forget. In that moment, I saw not only the strength of a great leader, but the heart of a man who believes in mercy, in redemption, and in the promise that America gives everyone, the promise of a second chance.
His kindness, his humanity, and his generosity toward my family and me touched me deeply. President Trump reminded me that in this country we love so much, no mistake, no hardship, and no fall from grace can take away the possibility of renewal. His faith in second chances reignited my own, and for that, I will be forever thankful.
To my friends who stood by me through it all and fought for me when I couldn’t, thank you. Your support, your prayers, and your Advocacy for me mean more than I can ever express. I won’t name names because I’d hate to leave anyone out, but please know that your kindness will stay with me for the rest of my life and I can now truly say that you can make friends whom are real in DC.
I also want to make one thing clear: I hold no anger toward anyone, not even my critics. I move forward with humility, with gratitude, and with peace in my heart. Life is too short to waste on bitterness or vengeance. There will be no revenge, no retribution. We are all Americans, and at the end of the day, we all want the same thing, a better, fairer country for everyone.
Inspired by President Trump’s work toward peace in the Middle East, I am dedicating myself to doing good, to building bridges instead of walls. My focus will be on prison reform and accountability, ensuring that those in power uphold the dignity and humanity of every person in their care. No one should ever be dehumanized or degraded like I was by the FCI Fariton Warden Kelly and Assistant Warden Nobile.
As I step into this next chapter of my life, I do so with lessons learned and eyes open. I do not carry shame, I carry purpose. My goal now is to turn my past into something meaningful, to help create a justice system that truly believes in rehabilitation and second chances.
Yes, I am back but I am back as a new man, ready to work and do good.

Glenn Greenwald @ggreenwald - Justice can be many things. It can be blind. It can be elusive. It can be harsh. It can be restorative.
And it can also be karmic.

Gordon G. Chang @GordonGChang - Notice who has not been purged in China’s military: Gen. Zhang Youxia, the country’s most senior officer and a known adversary of Xi Jinping. Xi’s loyalists in the military have just been axed, so his position looks fragile. China could have a new leader soon.

Governor Glenn Youngkin @GovernorVA - On this day, 244 years ago Lord Cornwallis surrendered to General George Washington and the American forces at Yorktown. This Virginian is always so proud of the Virginian Founders — yes, the Father of our Country and the great Virginians that wrote the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights — and also those who fought with General Washington and secured our very freedom. God Bless America
