Good post but it’s a lost cause. It’s a sample size of one but mother-in-law is a spry 80 year old widow who spends her evenings cozied up with a bottle of pinot grigio binge watching MSNBC. She’s not alone. Her cohort was the preponderance of No Kings attendees. 
I think the factors are:
- Affluent hippie or hippie-adjacent geriatrics who were raised to fight the man so are already very open to an anti-authoritarian narrative
- Their generation is the last to religiously watch network news which reprograms their brains, and many also watch CNN/MSNBC which only reinforces those narratives but with even more fire & brimstone
- They’re lonely and looking to be part of a group of like minded people
So you have an idle, affluent, older generation of anti-authoritarian hippie generation individuals who are more susceptible to having their brains rewired by suggestive narratives on the only channels they watch. They’re also lonely and events like No Kings give them an opportunity to socialize over a common cause.
There’s no turning them back with rational arguments - we just need to wait them out and focus on younger generations.
