Why, however, does Washington, DC not mandate sex offenders stay away from areas frequented by children, like 30 other states and many local jurisdictions require? 
It is time for DC to protect our most vulnerable!  Demand protection for children from sex offenders who reside within 500 to 1000 feet of child friendly areas.

Jeremy Carl @realJeremyCarl - This is one of those betrayals of the American people that is both so commonplace and so enormous that it's hard to even think about it. 
A requirement of immigration is that you are not supposed to be a "public charge"- i.e. reliant on the government.   Yet 1/3 of our public housing in NYC, hugely subsidized at taxpayer expense, goes to the foreign-born.

Jeremy Wayne Tate @JeremyTate41 - I had a strange experience when I visited Wyoming Catholic College a few years ago. The student seemed abnormally present, focused on the lectures, in between classes super into each other, they weren’t fidgety or distracted, they almost seemed like a different species. And then I remembered that the students give up their cell phones to go there. The students were exceedingly joyful, free, and falling in love with their faith and the life of the mind.
