College Sports, and specifically College Football, is one of the most beloved sports in the USA.
Foreign money, specifically Saudi Arabia, is starting to have the potential to cause enormous damage to College Sports. Some of the buyouts for fired college coaches are eye watering.
In 2025 alone, $185 million has been spent on just firing coaches. This is forcing college athletic programs to cancel both Olympic and non-revenue sports. Most colleges are running massive deficits on their sports programs.
Cody Campbell is working with President Trump to find solutions to saving college sports. The key is to modernize the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961, allowing colleges to pool their media rights.
Colleges shouldn't be reliant upon foreign nations like Saudi Arabia, where strings would be attached to the money.
