Christine Niles @ChristineNiles1 - After Pope Leo XIV appears to have denied or ignored the SSPX request to consecrate new bishops, the SSPX announces it will act in defiance of the Supreme Pontiff and will consecrate new bishops on July 1st.
The SSPX hasn't consecrated bishops since 1988, an act that resulted in the automatic excommunications of Abp. Lefebvre and the four bishops he consecrated, in defiance of the Holy See.
Pope Benedict lifted the excommunications of the living bishops in 2009, in hopes of bringing about reconciliation.Pope Francis made generous concessions toward the SSPX during his pontificate, granting them indefinite faculties to hear confessions and to officiate marriages.
"Both the Bishop who, without a pontifical mandate, consecrates a person a Bishop, and the one who receives the consecration from him, incur a latae sententiae excommunication reserved to the Apostolic See." -canon 1387, Catholic Code of Canon Law

Chuck Ross @ChuckRossDC - Plaskett lied to CNN about this. Will CNN now grill Plaskett over this in an on-air interview, or in the halls of Congress?
Quote
Chuck Ross @ChuckRossDC
SCOOP:
Stacey Plaskett called Jeffrey Epstein "a friend" in text messages, completely contradicting her previous statements.
Plaskett also shared nonpublic info about an IRS ruling w/ Epstein
"You're the first person I've told."

The Church Militant @JohnAndrewDors3 - In a recent interview with John-Henry Westen, Fr. Charles Murr commented that “Pope Leo is like Pope Francis but with a better tailor.” This is a pointed criticism aimed at Pope Leo XIV’s continuity with the Francis pontificate.

cinesthetic. @TheCinesthetic - Even after 33 years, this intro hasn’t aged a day.

Clay Travis @ClayTravis - Washington, DC had just one murder in January, an 80+% decline from last year and one of the safest months in DC history. The collapse in crime comes after President Trump called in the national guard last fall. Extraordinarily positive outcome receiving barely any attention.

Clinton Donnelly @CryptoTaxFixer - I was listening to Ron DeSantis talk about eliminating property tax in Florida, and at first I thought, “There’s no way that works.”
Then I heard the details…and it actually made a lot of sense.
The idea isn’t to eliminate property tax for everyone.
It would only apply to primary residences, people who live in Florida full-time.
Snowbirds who come for a few months? They still pay.
Businesses and commercial properties? They still pay.
But, if you own your home and live there permanently, no more yearly tax just to keep what you already own.
And honestly, why should you be taxed every year on something you’ve already paid for?
I saw this in Sweden, property taxes are extremely low, and people can actually stay in their homes for life instead of being forced out when taxes rise.
