A powered and ventilated tunnel constructed by the international drug cartel La Nueva Empresa ran beneath the Rio Grande, linking Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, to El Paso, Texas.
An ICE @HSIElPaso operation, in partnership with U.S. Border Patrol, resulted in the arrests of additional key members of the organization and the seizure of tunnel construction tools and building materials.
Illegal aliens guided through the tunnel into the U.S. exited a manhole cover undetected into a box truck modified with a trap door.

The 5'x7' kite was fashioned from bamboo sticks, a garment bag, cellophane tape and 1500 feet of nylon line.
