Julie Kelly @julie_kelly2 - Jeb Boasberg isn't even trying to hide his escalating level of contempt for the president--and for Jeanine Pirro--and it's just indefensible that Republican leadership refuses to initiate impeachment proceedings against him.
After taking the extraordinary move of quashing 2 subpoenas related to an investigation into Jerome Powell and the Fed for excessive spending and misrepresenting those expenditures to Congress--Boasberg had no proof the subpoenas were inappropriate but decided ON HIS OWN the DOJ had no basis to issue them--he has now denied DOJ's request to vacate his initial order and opinion quashing the subpoenas. (Pirro's office closed the investigation after referring matter to Fed IG. She did not appeal Boasberg's decision, likely on the basis her office would probably lose at DC Circuit given its makeup of Dem judges.)
I mean--how in the world can a judge, let alone the CHIEF JUDGE OF DC DISTRICT COURT get away with making such clearly personal and political statements?
