DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - Credit to @ParkerThayer for finding this Action Network backend and inspiring me to dig a bit deeper.

The “conservative” group planning this protest (Humans First) forgot to censor their website’s privacy policy, which shows they’re using The Action Network, which is basically ActBlue for nonprofits.
Don’t fall for the psyop, folks.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - BREAKING - The "conservative" protest against AI data centers has an anti-ICE NGO organizer, a DSA member, Facebook money.
Other than that, totally grassroots.
Axios ran an "exclusive" Wednesday about a "conservative group" called Humans First planning a nationwide day of protest against AI data centers on July 18. Amy Kremer is chairing it and invoking the Tea Party.
Axios didn't mention that Humans First was incubated by the Center for AI Safety, an organization funded with millions from Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz. Or that its original staff included a Sunrise Movement organizer who sat in at Pelosi's office with AOC and a DSA member who organized for Kamala Harris.
NBC News described CAIS as having founded Humans First "to be a sort of Trojan horse to make AI safety issues more palatable to a conservative political audience."
@ParkerThayer exposed the Action Network backend.
As always, patience as I pull together the thread. 👇

Re: Disability
As I mentioned a few weeks back, I had to have knee surgery in the form of a meniscus root repair. Apparently this is one of the knee surgeries that takes the longest to recover from and requires a somewhat draconian rehabilitation in which you are very limited in mobility.
It’s been very humbling.
I’ve had some complications too so this is dragging on.
I’ve had many surgeries before, but this is the first one that has truly limited my mobility and made me unable to enjoy basic pleasures in life. Heck, I can barely walk around a grocery store.
I’ll never again take for granted the basic joy that comes with living a healthy life.
Yeah I’m kinda depressed and unhappy, but this too will pass. Many people suffer from far worse, and I realize that.
Just venting, thanks for listening.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - That'd be George Soros. His name comes up for a reason, and that's because he was a rare visionary for the entire international relations / foreign policy / democracy space in the same way that Steve Jobs was for all of Big Tech.

Thank you. Now we need to know who told them to do it. It wasn’t just them.

DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican - Clinton is my guess based on timeline and how closely his administration worked with Soros, but he doesn’t have to be named as a contractor in any bill.
Soros has been a partner with the US government since the Reagan years.
