POTUS walked into the waiting press area at 1:09 p.m.
He walked in with Senate Majority Leader John Thune.
He patted Thune on the back as he walked in.
He opened on the Iran War: “The war is going really well, we’re winning by a lot.”
He was asked about whether the election legislation is more important to you than solving the housing crisis: “Every election is important… They want a lot of communists to come in.”
He and Thune left the corridor at 1:10 p.m. to cheers.

POTUS walked back into the Ohio Clock corridor at 2:21 pm. He’s talking.
He was accompanied by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, WH deputy COS for policy Stephen Miller, and U.S. Special Envoy for Peace Missions Steve Witkoff, who has been part of the Iran deal negotiations, on the way in.
On the way in he was also asked if he still had confidence in Thune’s leadership and whether he was going to sign the housing legislation.
Pool heard clapping from the room at 1:41 p.m.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) was spotted in the corridor at 1:42 p.m.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) walked past at 2:18 p.m. “Thank you all for coming,” he told reporters.
Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) left at 2:19 p.m. but didn’t come past the big press pack.
