White House Press Pool Reports @WHPressPool - In-town pool report #19
POTUS came on stage at 8:50 p.m. after being introduced by Lee Greenwood, joining the singing for the later part of God Bless the USA and another flyover though haven’t identified the aircraft yet.
POTUS started speaking at 8:52 p.m.
The stage is set closer to the Smithsonian Castle side of the Mall, near a structure erected for The Great American State Fair event.
The audience is partly seated and standing, with a sprinkling of “America is back” and “America 250” hats and people waving American flags in time to the music. Most of the crowd is wearing some assortment of red, white, and blue.
Pool does not have a crowd estimate as yet.
The podium is set behind bullet-proof glass, with The President’s Own U.S. Marine Corp Band and Joint Armed Forces Chorus behind it. The stage has two projection screens on either side, and another on the back wall of the structure.
There had been a flyover of a solo B-2 bomber when pool was at the WH. When pool was on site, four F-35s flew past. There was then a third flyover with both groups of planes.
Pool spotted Dan Scavino and Erin Elmore.

Our best guess for crowd size is more than a thousand, but I’m trying to tweet a video for context cell service is spotty.
