The Epoch Times @EpochTimes - Dolly Parton opened her new Tennessean Travel Stop in Cornersville, Tennessee, on June 24.
The country music star quipped at the grand opening that she couldn't leave the truck stop to beavers. She aims to offer everything road trippers and truck drivers want or need at the bedazzled, country music-themed location about 65 miles south of Nashville.
Features include a full-service restaurant, upstairs bar, two stages, cafe, dog park, outdoor seating, and a trucker's lounge. Parton cut the ribbon with her business partner Gregory H. Sachs, who bought the stop in 2017.
The pair teamed up after Sachs suggested going into business together, noting Parton's lifelong travels on the road. Fans lined up early despite the heat to see her in person.
Parton added her flavor with “Good Lookin’ Cookin’”-inspired recipes from herself and her sister, plus a new premium roasted coffee brand called Cup of Ambition made with Community Coffee. Insiders say talks have begun for dozens more locations across the South and beyond to compete with places like Buc-ee's.
