New Twitter Sign-Ups Hit All-Time Record Despite Cancel Campaign

Since Elon Musk bought Twitter with a pledge to restore free speech protections, the media and political establishment have maintained an unrelenting campaign to use pressure from corporations and foreign governments to force him to restore censorship policies. Reporters have covered seemingly every celebrity declaring that they are leaving the site or even selling their Teslas in protest. As companies joined the boycott, commentators gleefully announced the “death,” “collapse,” and “demise” of the social media company with some mocking Musk’s endangerment of billions for free speech. New figures, however, appear to show that the public is solidly with Musk on the free speech issue. New signups at Twitter are at an all-time high with two million new signups per day.

As these companies and activists demand censorship, customers are signing up in mass to embrace the greater diversity of viewpoints and expression at the company. While companies are yielding to demands from the left that they cut off ad revenue until Musk restores censorship, users are flocking to the site.

The over two million new sign-ups per day represent a 66% increase over the same time frame last year, according to figures released by Musk.

Of course, it has long been known that the public wants more, not less, free speech. It is the political establishment that is struggling to retain control over speech on social media at any cost. Facebook even tried a massive commercial campaign to convince the public to embrace censorship.

President Joe Biden has led calls for censorship on social media, which have been largely heeded by companies like Facebook and Twitter. Biden is accusing Twitter of “spewing lies all across the world” by seeking to reduce one of the largest censorship systems in history. 

President Biden has previously accused social media companies of “killing people” by refusing to impose robust censorship over a wide range of subjects. Many of those banned or censored were doctors with opposing views on the data and the science related to the pandemic.

We are now seeing increasing evidence of back channels used by government and political figures to maintain a censorship system by surrogate in the social media companies and foreign allies.

Million Passengers Stranded As Austrian Rail Strike Begins

Austrian rail traffic froze Monday, impacting critical transit routes between Europe's east and west, as workers held a 24-hour strike over pay disputes. 

According to Reuters, the labor action has disrupted 8,000 connections and left more than a million passengers stranded. 

"The railway union vida is on strike today from 00:00 to 24:00. For this reason, no trains can run all day throughout Austria and across borders," the country's federal railway system, OeBB, wrote on its website.

The labor action was last-minute after pay negotiations broke down between the rail workers' union and OeBB. The union demanded a 400 Euro increase due to the cost-of-living-crisis in the EU for the 50,000 rail workers. They were offered 208 euros plus a one-time payment of 1000 euros. 

"Wedged between eight countries including Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic, Austria is an important hub for European rail travel," Reuters noted.

Biden's Gender-Fluid Nuclear Official Charged With Felony Theft After Lying To Cops

A senior Department of Energy official was charged with felony theft after stealing a piece of luggage from the Minneapolis airport in September - shortly before taking a leave of absence.

Sam Brinton, a gender-fluid nuclear expert who in 2015 defended underage gay prostitution website "Rentboy.com," allegedly took a Vera Bradley suitcase worth $2,325 from the luggage carousel at the Minneapolis St. Paul Airport (MSP) on September 16, Fox News reports, citing a criminal complaint filed Oct. 16 in Minnesota state court.

According to court filings, surveillance footage showed Brinton taking the luggage, then removing its tag identifying the owner, before leaving the airport. Brinton was observed using the luggage during at least two other trips to Washington DC - on Sept. 18 and Oct. 9.

When a police officer called Brinton on Oct. 9 for questioning, Brinton confirmed that he still possessed the suitcase, but then claimed it was his.

"If I had taken the wrong bag, I am happy to return it, but I don’t have any clothes for another individual," Brinton told the officer, adding "That was my clothes when I opened the bag."

Two hours later, Brinton called back and apologized for not being "completely honest," adding that taking the wrong bag was a mistake because ht was tired.

"DEFENDANT said when they opened the bag at the hotel, they realized it was not theirs," reads the court filing. "DEFENDANT got nervous people would think they stole the bag and did not know what to do. DEFENDANT stated they left the clothes from the bag inside the drawers in the hotel room."

Brinton was ultimately charged with felony theft of a movable property without consent, a charge that could result in a five-year sentence, $10,000 fine or both.

Minnesota-based outlet Alpha News first reported the charges against Brinton on Monday.

Brinton was placed on leave about a month ago and another official was named as a replacement in the interim earlier this month, according to the Exchange Monitor which tracks government hires. The DOE didn't explain why Brinton took leave at the time.

London WEF Mayor Unveils "Crippling" Vehicle Emission Charge For All Of London, Despite 80% Opposition

The low-emission zone in central London, within which motorists are charged £12.50 (€14.56) per day for driving the most vehicles, is set to be extended to cover the whole of London, the city’s left-wing mayor, Sadiq Khan, announced on Friday.

From Aug. 29 next year, the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), which currently covers the heart of London will be extended to the Greater London Authority boundary, a move that will increase the costs of hundreds of thousands of commuters and residents who drive non-compliant vehicles.

Khan described the decision to extend the zone as “one of the toughest decisions” he’s taken as mayor, but claimed the move will see 5 million more people benefit from cleaner air.

The extension has been agreed despite overwhelming opposition from Londoners. The BBC reported that a public consultation on the extension plans, which Khan insisted was a genuine consultation and would factor into his decision, showed 80 percent of people in the affected area opposed the plan.

London Assembly member Emma Best said the announcement came following “a sham consultation from a sham Mayor.”

The move will mean that an estimated 200,000 motorists of non-compliant vehicles producing higher carbon emissions will be slapped with a daily £12.50 levy for driving their vehicle within the Greater London Authority boundary.

The charge applies all day, every day, with the exception of Christmas Day, and those with non-compliant cars residing in the affected area are not exempt.

UK Power Prices Skyrocket As Wind Generation Collapses

Good thing the UK recently "war gamed" emergency plans to deal with energy shortfalls because a collapse in wind power has skyrocketed electricity prices, and network operator National Grid Plc might ask homes and businesses to reduce power use on Tuesday. 

Some hourly power contracts for Tuesday jumped above £1,200 ($1,445.92) a megawatt-hour on Epex Spot SE as wind generation is set to come to an abrupt halt, reported Bloomberg. 

For the first time, tight power supplies could force National Grid to deploy a new measure that pays households to reduce power consumption during peak demand hours. 

Thousands of households with smart meters have signed up for the demand reduction program that has been pilot-tested. It could be used for the first time, according to a warning issued by National Grid. 

National Grid had initially warned blackouts are possible this winter due to natural gas supply cuts following Russia's war in Ukraine. 

The collapse in wind power this week could be a perfect storm as temperatures are expected to be colder than average in the first half of the week, which will send electricity demand higher. The grid operator expects peak power consumption of around 41.1 gigawatts this evening and 42.4 gigawatts on Tuesday, indicating spare capacity would tighten as the grid struggles to produce enough electricity to satisfy demand. 

Bloomberg said the UK would need to fire up fossil fuel power generators due to the gap in wind power that will persist through Thursday. 

It's not even the middle of winter, and the UK's grid is already at risk of failure. This doesn't bode well over the coming months if winter is harsh.

Moroccan Fans Celebrate World Cup Win By Rioting In European Cities

Moroccan football fans celebrated their World Cup win over Belgium by staging chaotic riots in numerous different European cities.

Diversity continues to be a strength.

Morocco beat Belgium 2-0 in Group F yesterday, which many regarded as a shock result given the quality of the Belgian team.

Whereas some would expect the result to have prompted friendly and good-natured celebrations, Moroccans used it as an excuse to loot shops, burn vehicles and attack police stations in Belgium and neighboring Holland.

Multicultural Belgium is home to around 500,000 Moroccans, some of whom reacted to their team victory by rampaging through the streets.

“Police deployed tear gas to disperse fans following the victory, but rioting went on into the evening, resulting in a number of additional vehicles being set on fire,” reports ReMix News.

Eight people were arrested in Antwerp, while police in Brussels were forced to deploy water cannons and tear gas in an attempt to quell the rioting.

“I condemn in the strongest terms the incidents of this afternoon,” said Brussels’ mayor, Philippe Close.

“The police have already firmly intervened. I therefore advise against fans coming to the city center. The police are doing all they can to maintain public order. I have ordered the police to carry out arrests of the troublemakers,” he added.

Police Bust "Super Cartel" Behind One-Third Of Europe's Cocaine Trade

Law enforcement agents across six countries joined forces to bust a "super cartel" of drug traffickers controlling about one-third of cocaine flows into Europe, the European Union crime agency stated Monday.

Europol said a series of raids (dubbed "Operation Desert Light") between Nov. 8 and 19 in multiple countries led to the arrest of 49 suspects and the seizure of 30 tons of drugs. The raids were in Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the UAE.

"The drugpins, considered as high-value targets by Europol, had come together to form what was known as a 'super cartel' which controlled around one-third of the cocaine trade in Europe," Europol said.

"The scale of cocaine importation into Europe under the suspects' control and command was massive and over 30 tons of drugs were seized by law enforcement over the course of the investigations," the law enforcement agency said, adding cartel members used a super encrypted communication network to arrange drug shipments. 

The Netherlands had the most arrests, with 14 suspects in 2021 and six "high-value targets" in Dubai. Shipments of cocaine were imported from Panama in Central America.

House Democratic Rep. Donald McEachin dies at 61

Rep. Donald McEachin, a Democrat representing Virginia’s fourth Congressional District since 2017, died Monday night after a battle with colorectal cancer, according to his office. He was 61.

Eachin’s chief of staff, Tara Rountree, said in a statement the congressman had been experiencing “secondary effects of his colorectal cancer from 2013.”

“We are all devastated at the passing of our boss and friend, Congressman Donald McEachin,” Rountree said. “Valiantly, for years now, we have watched him fight and triumph over the secondary effects of his colorectal cancer from 2013.”

HARDCORE TYRANNY: Netherlands to Netherlands to forcibly seize 3,000 farms to comply with EU Climate diktats

The communist Dutch government plans to buy and close down up to 3,000 farms near environmentally sensitive areas to comply with EU "nature preservation" rules (UN Agenda 21).

The Netherlands is attempting to cut down its nitrogen "pollution" and will push ahead with land grabs if not enough farms take up the offer voluntarily.

“There is no better offer coming,” Christianne van der Wal, anti-nitrogen despot, told MPs on Friday.

The Dutch environment agency has warned that native species are disappearing faster in the Netherlands than in the rest of Europe and that biodiversity is under threat. 

But the new plan looks set to reignite tensions with farmers over nitrogen reduction. 

Dutch farmers have staged mass protests, burnt hay bales, dumped manure on highways and picketed ministers' houses over the last three years. 

In 2019 a ruling by the Dutch Council of State meant every new activity that emits nitrogen, including farming and building, needs a permit.

That has prevented the expansion of dairy, pig and poultry farms, which are major sources of nitrogen from ammonia in manure mixed with urine.

Diesel shortages loom as energy crisis enters “perfect storm”

Winter is not even here yet and the diesel supply chain is already falling apart at an accelerating rate.

Tight refining capacity coupled with ever-depleting stockpiles bodes ominous for the coming weeks and months. If diesel supplies dwindle too low due to supply crunches, critical transportation networks such as ships, trains, and trucks will be severely impacted.

Diesel is also a power generation source for many utility companies and is also used in various capacities to heat homes and businesses in many parts of the world. (Related: In late October, Mansfield Energy issued a “code red” for diesel supplies in America’s Northeast and Southeast regions.)

“Within months, almost every region on the planet will face a danger of a diesel shortage just as supply crunches in nearly all the world’s markets have worsened inflation and hurt growth,” reported Bloomberg.

The crisis can clearly be seen at the pumps where diesel prices are now noticeably higher than gasoline prices, which are also sky-high. If things continue on their current trajectory, the diesel crisis could become a perfect storm and an inflation accelerant, the likes of which has never before been seen.

Diesel and fuel prices in general are pegged to crude prices as set on the global market. Because of supply bottlenecks and other problems, demand in some markets is far outpacing supply, which in turn affects everyone.

“Anything and everything that gets moved in our economy, diesel is there,” said Mark Finley, an energy fellow at Rice University‘s Baker Institute of Public Policy.

The U.S. currently has just a 25-day supply of diesel fuel, the lowest level since 2008. What this means, just to be clear, is that if all diesel production stopped immediately, the country would run out of it in 25 days.

Diesel is still being produced, of course, so that 25-days-remaining figure will still be 25 days remaining tomorrow and the day after that. If production and supply problems persist, however, then over time that number could gradually drop down to, say, a 24-day supply, then perhaps a 23-day supply.

What all of this does not mean, just to reiterate, is that America only has 25 days’ worth of diesel left before completely running out of it. The only way that would happen is if all diesel production stopped immediately, which is not the case.

As for diesel distillates, the four-week rolling average supply – this being a proxy for demand – has increased to its highest seasonal level since 2007, just before the infamous 2008 market crash.

The only way to address the diesel supply problem is for the markets to enter a downturn, says Reuters senior market analyst John Kemp.

“Prices for U.S. diesel in the spot market of New York harbor have risen more than 265% since President Biden took the oath of office in 2021,” reports Zero Hedge. “Prices reached $5.37 a gallon in the spring of 2022 and have since slumped to $3.51.”

The tightest diesel market in the country right now is the Northeast where oil refineries have been shut down one by one over the past several years. What this means for the availability of winter heating oil and jet fuel supplies remains to be seen.

Fossil fuel energy (i.e., diesel, petrol, gasoline, and natural gas) is under attack by the despotic crime-ridden governments.

Communist Canadian Paediatric Society Proposes Legalizing The Murder of Children

First it was abortion. Then it was assisted suicide. Then it was infanticide. Now the globalists are trying to normalize assisted suicide for children.

The Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS) released a new treatise on this topic called “Medical Assistance in Dying: A Paediatric Perspective.” Here is what is stated as its mission and purpose:

“Ensuring that newborns, children and youth receive the highest possible standard of care as they are dying is a privilege and a responsibility for physicians and allied professionals. Bringing a thoughtful, respectful and personal approach to every end-of-life situation is an essential and evolving duty of care, and the process should meet each patient’s (and family’s) unique social, cultural and spiritual needs.”

According to CPS, it is “respectful” both to society and to the planet to help children commit suicide in order to meet their “social, cultural, and spiritual needs.” CPS refers to these minor individuals as “mature minors,” the implication being that assisted suicide is a noble cause.

CPS alleges that there is a strong need “to examine requests for and attitudes around MAID for minors of all ages,” MAID being short for “medical assistance in dying.”

The group claims that a growing number of Canadian health care professionals are being “approached by the parents of ‘never-competent’ infants and children, including those who are “too young to make a reasoned decision” about whether or not to live.

These parents are seeking to “discuss MAID-related issues,” CPS says. This corroborates with the results of a new survey from the Canadian Paediatric Surveillance Program (CPSP), which further suggests that assisted suicide for children is a growing trend.

“In the foreseeable future, parents may challenge health care decisions in court on the grounds that continued life, as experienced by their dying or profoundly disabled child, is not in that child’s best interests,” CPS says.

In other words, the goal is to eventually legalize and normalize medically assisted suicide for children as just another form of “health care.” It is the same illogic as claiming that abortion and infanticide are forms of “reproductive health care,” even though such procedures put an end to the reproductive process.

For now, children cannot legally receive help committing suicide in Canada. But there could come a time when they can – and eventually the United States, or at least some segments of it, will follow suit.

US Govt to Auction Almost 1 Million Acres Off Alaskan Coast for Oil Drilling

The United States will auction nearly one million acres off the Alaskan coast for new oil and gas drilling in December, mandated in the so-called “Inflation” Reduction Act (IRA).

The United States Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), inside the Department of Interior, will put hundreds of thousands of acres off Alaska’s southcentral coast up for auction on December 30 for new oil and gas drilling projects. The lease sale has to be completed by the end of the year to comply with the IRA, which was added to the piece of legislation to win support from West Virginia Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin.

The auction sale will be of approximately 958,202 acres in Alaska’s Cook Inlet. Bloomberg reported the department estimated that over the lifetime of the lease sales, the area could produce nearly 200 million barrels of crude oil and 300 billion cubic feet of natural gas. However, the estimate would only be accurate if any drilling actually occurs.

Additionally, Bloomberg noted that the lease sale of Alaska’s Cook Inlet was one previously canceled by the Biden administration earlier this year, citing a lack of interest, among other things, but ended up being reinstated from the IRA because of Manchin.

The Gun Boom Continues: FBI Ran 192,749 Background Checks on Black Friday Alone

Numbers released Monday show that the FBI ran 192,749 National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) background checks on Black Friday 2022.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) noted that the 192,749 NICS checks on Black Friday 2022 “[rank] it third in the Top 10 Highest Days for NICS checks and…[represent] a 2.8 percent increase from Black Friday 2021.”

The FBI conducted 187,585 NICS checks on Black Friday 2021 and 186,645 checks on Black Friday 2020, Breitbart News reported.

The NSSF observed that there were 711,372 NICS checks “during the week leading up to and including Black Friday.”

The strong Black Friday NICS check numbers come after surges in gun sales during recent years.

For example, on October 6, 2022, Breitbart News reported retailers had sold over one million guns a month for 38 consecutive months.

Mark Oliva, NSSF managing director for public affairs, spoke to Breitbart News about the gun sales, noting the “38 continuous months of when background checks for firearm sales have exceeded 1 million” and added, “That’s a remarkable sustained trend and demonstrates that the firearm industry is meeting this continued increased demand for firearm ownership.”

Russia No Longer Trusts The Western World, Abruptly Postpones Nuclear Arms Control Talks

On Monday the United States said that Russia has "unilaterally postponed" important nuclear arms control talks without explanation. The resumption of New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New Start) negotiations was supposed to happen this week, but now a potential date for their continuation remains uncertain.

"The United States is ready to reschedule at the earliest possible date as resuming inspections is a priority for sustaining the treaty as an instrument of stability," the US State Department said.

It was a mere weeks ago that the two sides finally agreed to restart the talks for the first time since Russia's Ukraine invasion, given the growing international alarm over the increasing prospect of nuclear confrontation and accompanying rhetoric. 

State Department spokesperson Ned Price said at the time that New START will be focus of bilateral talks in the near future. "We have agreed that the BCC [Bilateral Consultative Commission] will meet in the near future under the terms of the New START Treaty. The work of the BCC is confidential, but we do hope for a constructive session."

New START remains the last significant end of Cold War era agreement on nuclear arms control between Washington and Moscow. It is also one of the last hoped-for points of positive communications between the two sides, given spiraling relations over the Ukraine war.

The commission has not met in more than a year, in October 2021, with central aspects of the treaty since stalled due to attempts of the US to resume nuclear arsenal inspections on Russian soil, which Moscow rebuffed.

After being quiet for 38 years, Hawaii’s Mauna Loa volcano is erupting. On the same island (the Big Island or Kona) in 2018 Kilauea volcano erupted for four months.

Scientists at the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said the eruption of Mauna Loa began at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday in Mokuaweoweo, the summit caldera of the volcano. United States Geological Survey webcams at the summit clearly showed a long fissure erupting fountains of lava that are spreading along the caldera floor.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) initially said that lava was contained to the caldera. But within two hours of the start of the eruption, residents on the Kona side of the volcano recorded images that appeared to show lava starting to flow down the mountain, according to a report by Hawaii News Now.

The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said, “All vents remain restricted to the summit area. However, lava flows in the summit region are visible from Kona. There is currently no indication of any migration of the eruption into a rift zone.”

Oncologist Sends Urgent Letter: Stable Cancers and other Diseases Are Exploding in 'Boosted' People

In an urgent letter to the editor-in-chief of the medical journal The BMJ, Dr. Angus Dalgleish, Professor of Oncology at the St. George’s University of London, asks for UK’s unnecessary covid vaccine program to end immediately,

Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) recently got in touch with his inner mobster and threatened Elon Musk - the new owner of Twitter and the CEO of electric car company Tesla and space ventures company SpaceX. He told Musk, “Fix your companies” or “Congress will.”

New Twitter Sign-Ups Hit All-Time Record Despite Cancel Campaign

Since Elon Musk bought Twitter with a pledge to restore free speech protections, the media and political establishment have maintained an unrelenting campaign to use pressure from corporations and foreign governments to force him to restore censorship policies. Reporters have covered seemingly every celebrity declaring that they are leaving the site or even selling their Teslas in protest. As companies joined the boycott, commentators gleefully announced the “death,” “collapse,” and “demise” of the social media company with some mocking Musk’s endangerment of billions for free speech. New figures, however, appear to show that the public is solidly with Musk on the free speech issue. New signups at Twitter are at an all-time high with two million new signups per day.

As these companies and activists demand censorship, customers are signing up in mass to embrace the greater diversity of viewpoints and expression at the company. While companies are yielding to demands from the left that they cut off ad revenue until Musk restores censorship, users are flocking to the site.

The over two million new sign-ups per day represent a 66% increase over the same time frame last year, according to figures released by Musk.

Of course, it has long been known that the public wants more, not less, free speech. It is the political establishment that is struggling to retain control over speech on social media at any cost. Facebook even tried a massive commercial campaign to convince the public to embrace censorship.

President Joe Biden has led calls for censorship on social media, which have been largely heeded by companies like Facebook and Twitter. Biden is accusing Twitter of “spewing lies all across the world” by seeking to reduce one of the largest censorship systems in history. 

President Biden has previously accused social media companies of “killing people” by refusing to impose robust censorship over a wide range of subjects. Many of those banned or censored were doctors with opposing views on the data and the science related to the pandemic.

Some of those doctors were the co-authors of the Great Barrington Declaration, which advocated for a more focused Covid response that targeted the most vulnerable population rather than widespread lockdowns and mandates. Many are now questioning the efficacy and cost of the massive lockdown as well as the real value of masks or the rejection of natural immunities as an alternative to vaccination.  Likewise, those who alleged that the virus may have begun in a lab in China were widely denounced and the views barred from being uttered on social media platforms. It was later learned that a number of leading experts raised this theory with Fauci and others early in the pandemic.

We are now seeing increasing evidence of back channels used by government and political figures to maintain a censorship system by surrogate in the social media companies and foreign allies.

Gazprom to mothball Nord Stream pipelines

Russian energy major Gazprom is planning to shutter the Nord Stream gas pipelines and compressor stations, the Kommersant newspaper reported on Monday citing company sources. In September, both strings of Nord Stream 1 and one string of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline were damaged by explosions and are currently inoperable.

According to the report, gas-pumping equipment will not be moved from the Portovaya and Slavyanskaya compressor stations and will remain on site. This will help re-launch flows at short notice once the pipelines are restored.

Analyst Sergey Kondratyev of the Institute of Energy and Finance told the news outlet that the decision has merit, as it is now difficult to assess the timing of the repairs. Also, the transfer of equipment to other compressor stations is not viable, since Portovaya uses unique equipment. According to the expert, the work may take from three to five months and cost up to three billion rubles (around $50 million).

It is also unclear whether Gazprom will restore the pipelines at all. Machinery at the Portovaya compressor station was out of service long before the explosions due to a lack of proper maintenance amid Western sanctions on Russia.

Russia condemned the explosions that damaged the pipelines as an “act of international terrorism.” The Russian Defense Ministry said last month it suspects the British Navy to be involved, but London has denied the accusation. After their own probes, Sweden and Denmark both reported that the fractures in the pipelines were caused by explosions, but have not made suggestions as to who might be responsible.

Chinese Covid protests: Police crack down on backlash as crowds gather in cities

Chinese police are cracking down on protests that have spread across the country, with reports of arrests and people being forced to delete photos of the demonstrations.

Barriers were installed in central Shanghai on Monday to prevent further gatherings, after a wave of public protests in Chinese cities aimed at Covid-19 restrictions – and in some cases the Chinese government.

Crowds gathered in the capital, Beijing, on Sunday night and Monday morning as a rare outbreak of widespread public dissent continued. Protesters chanted “need freedom” and “want to work” – reflecting growing discontent at Covid restrictions that remain in China as the rest of the world has reopened.

Chinese protesters have also called for the ruling Communist Party and its leader, Xi Jinping, to step down.

Activists posted photos on social media of themselves holding blank sheets of paper in solidarity with the protests. Hashtags associated with the movement were blocked on Chinese social network, Weibo, on Sunday.

Covid measures have confined millions of Chinese people to quarantines and forced the closure of many businesses.

The historic wave of protests in China began on Thursday after a fire in Xinjiang province killed 10 people, amid allegations that firefighters were hampered by Covid restrictions. Angry crowds targeted infrastructure for controlling the virus in the aftermath of the fire.

Demonstrations have since spread to several Chinese cities in a rare show of widespread defiance to the regime. At a demonstration in Shanghai, chants of “Xi Jinping, step down” were heard.

The president, who was recently returned for a third term in power, has faced little public criticism over almost nine years in power.

Soros BTFO! Sweden Seeks To Revoke Permanent Residency Permits In Migrant Crackdown

Sweden’s newly elected center-right government is proposing to amend existing migration laws to change permanent residency given to migrants to temporary permits, local media reported on Friday.

The coalition agreement was signed by the Moderate party, the Christian Democrats, and the Liberals, and was approved by the Swedish Democrats, who are not a part of the government but offer a confidence and supply agreement. It pledged to abolish “the institution of permanent residence permits,” with plans plans to convert these to temporary, conditional passes.

The Tidö Agreement, a 60-page document outlining the agreed upon plans of the coalition government, included numerous pledges to tackle legal and illegal immigration into Sweden, including a requirement for “proposals to remove the system of permanent residence permits to be presented by 2024 at the latest.”

Additionally, the government vowed to “investigate whether to withdraw residence permits in several cases, including for those who no longer ‘meet the requirements for the permit.'”

Mikael Ribbenvik, the general director of the Migration Agency, told broadcaster SVT that “an investigation will look into under what circumstances existing permanent residence permits could be turned into temporary residence permits.”

“This would be the first time this has happened in Sweden. We haven’t had this before,” Ribbenvik added, explaining that once a permit is permanent, there are no further checks on the holder’s eligibility.

More than 300,000 migrants in Sweden currently hold permanent residence permits, and Ribbenvik told the Swedish broadcaster that he would be worried about the government’s plans if he was one of them.

My take on Putin differs from most people or what the media says about the guy. I think Putin is a very good president for Russia, no doubt about that. However at the same time take into consideration Putin does not have our best interests at heart, and would greatly benefit from a collapse of the Western world, and is preparing very well for this by shifting toward better Eastern relations. What would be really good for Russia is going to get really ugly economically for the Western world. Perhaps it is good the current corrupted and compromised US neo-con/commie hegemonic empire crumbles (lots of freedom would be restored if it did) but it would also send the US into the third world very quickly as well and would be difficult to recover from the fiscal collapse of the US and Europe.

As it mulls kicking Elon Musk’s Twitter off the app store, it has now been revealed that Apple restricted the use of AirDrop in China, a move that harmed the organizational efforts of demonstrators protesting against the CCP’s lockdowns.

Over the past week, multiple major cities across China have seen massive protests against lockdowns, with the normally compliant Chinese exploding into rage in response to their government’s ‘zero COVID’ policy.

Earlier this month, Apple restricted the use of AirDrop in China, which protesters had been using to evade censorship.

AirDrop allows local connections between devices, meaning it cannot be monitored or censored by local authorities.

However, Apple launched an update to the app in China that restricted usage to just 10 minutes, making it harder for protesters to communicate with other activists, as well as send messages nearby bystanders and tourists.

Trump ally Devin Nunes can sue NBCUniversal for defamation - Judge

A U.S. judge on Monday said Devin Nunes, the former California congressman and an ally of former U.S. President Donald Trump, can sue NBCUniversal for defamation over a comment by Rachel Maddow concerning his relationship with a suspected Russian agent.

Without ruling on the merits, U.S. District Judge Kevin Castel in Manhattan said Nunes "plausibly allege[d] actual malice" with respect to a statement from a March 2021 broadcast of MSNBC's "The Rachel Maddow Show."

Maddow was discussing a package addressed to Nunes from Andriy Derkach, a pro-Russia Ukrainian legislator, and said Nunes "refused to hand it over to the FBI, which is what you should do if you get something from somebody who is sanctioned by the U.S. as a Russian agent."

Nunes' complaint, which seeks damages, said MSNBC and Maddow knew the package had been turned over, but instead "set out to inflict maximum pain and suffering on plaintiff in order to harm plaintiff's reputation."

West African country ditches dollar in oil trade

Ghana’s vice president, Mahamudu Bawumia, revealed this week that the government wants to pay for oil imports with gold instead of US dollars. He explained the plan as an attempt to protect the country’s dwindling foreign currency reserves.

Official data shows Ghana’s gross international reserves have fallen from $9.7 billion at the end of 2021 to around $6.6 billion at the end of September 2022.

The reserves could reportedly cover just three months of the country’s goods and services imports — half a month short of the government’s target for 2022.

The gold-for-oil policy is expected to be implemented in the first quarter of 2023, to counter inflation caused by the depreciation of the national currency. Bawumia explained that the Ghanaian cedi has lost more than half of its value against the dollar so far this year due to strong demand for the greenback from oil importers.

An oil-producing country, Ghana still has to import products such as gas and diesel, because its only oil refinery has been offline since an explosion in 2017.

Sweden's Migrant No-Go Zones May No Longer Be Emergency Ambulance Assistance

Violence against medical workers in some areas of Sweden is becoming so commonplace that a “protection ban” may be instituted on no-go zones of Stockholm featuring large migrant populations hostile to the authorities. In practice, this will mean ambulance drivers will refuse to go to certain addresses without police or rescue services to protect them.

“We’re worried that someone will get killed if nothing happens,” says specialist nurse Linda Orrvik.

The problem has been going on for years. For example, the Kvartal television program ran an extensive segment covering the issue already in 2018; it featured two paramedics describing the difficulties they face working in no-go areas.

“For example, we go to places where gun violence occurs, places where there are weapons and narcotics, and places where there are other rules than the rule of law we’re used to, that’s the difference,” said Henrik Johansson, a paramedic since 1990.

Over the decades he has worked, he says the situation has sharply deteriorated in the last five to 10 years.

“It’s a balancing act. When we started talking about this issue 10, 15 years ago, when we started discussing this, we were quite often laughed at. We were called nasty things,” said Johannson. The interviewer then asked him: “Racists?” He responded, “Yes, among other things.”

Facebook recently confirmed its ties to the US military and military-linked pro-war propaganda pages on its platform.

Facebook’s parent company Meta has acknowledged the discovery of several clusters of fake accounts and pages believed to be linked to individuals “associated with the US military,” according to the company’s latest adversarial threat report published this week.

“Although the people behind this operation attempted to conceal their identities and coordination, our investigation found links to individuals associated with the US military,” the company said in a blog post on Tuesday.

The influence campaign was discovered earlier this year and in total Meta removed 39 Facebook and 26 Instagram accounts, as well as 16 pages and two groups, all for violating the company’s policy against “coordinated inauthentic behavior.”

The social media giant admitted that the large-scale operation ran beyond those several dozen accounts and across many other internet platforms, including Twitter, YouTube and Telegram – as well as major Russian social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. It seemingly attempted to downplay the discovery by insisting that the “majority of this operation’s posts had little to no engagement from authentic communities” and highlighting similar “deceptive campaigns” by China and Russia.

Meta’s acknowledgement substantiates a bombshell investigation by the Washington Post that revealed the Pentagon was forced to launch a “sweeping audit of how it conducts clandestine information warfare,” after a variety of social media accounts, which its operatives used to target foreign audiences in elaborate psychological warfare efforts, were exposed.

Nina Jankowicz, who sang Mary Poppins on TikTok and was going to be in charge of monitoring disinformation and censoring US citizens, has now registered as a foreign agent.

Jankowicz, who was executive director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board, was at the center of controversy over the Biden administration’s attempt to censor opposing views.

She also advised the British Parliament to set standards for speech on the Internet, telling it that the British government could find ways to suppress undesirable speech, ignoring “freedom of expression and fairy dust.”

Jankowicz also became infamous for her enthusiasm for musical theater as a means of expressing her left-wing political ideas. She also referred to herself as the “Mary Poppins of disinformation” in a singsong TikTok post.

However, Jankowicz was herself a font of disinformation, spreading the notorious “Alfa Bank hoax” before the 2016 election, which falsely claimed that then-candidate Donald Trump had financial ties to a Russian bank.

She has now registered as a foreign representative under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), on behalf of the Centre for Information Resilience, a British organization devoted to countering disinformation online.

Nina Jankowicz filed papers indicating that she is working for a British anti-disinformation group that takes funding from the U.K. government, according to a report Monday in the Daily Caller.

The documents registering Ms. Jankowicz as a foreign agent, required by the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), describe the relationship between her and the Centre for Information Resilience, including her tasks.

According to the Daily Caller, the forms say Ms. Jankowicz “supervises research, executes business strategy, oversees the establishment of CIR’s research, communicates with the media, and briefs individuals and officials on CIR’s research.”

It is a one-year contract that began in September, a few months after the Biden administration abandoned its plans for a Disinformation Governance Board, with Ms. Jankowicz at its head, at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Russia: Destruction of Ukraine Energy Infrastructure to Complete Shortly

Russian state Duma Deputy Andrey Gurulev said publicly today "After the destruction of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, strikes on the logistics facilities will begin."  As of Monday, November 28, about seventy percent (70%) of Ukraine's energy infrastructure is already destroyed.

Logistics facilities are identified as specific buildings, warehouses, which host all activities linked to logistics and freight transportation.

So not only will Ukraine have no electricity, which likely also means no running water and no heat, things linked to freight transportation - i.e. movement of food and fuel - will also be hit.

Based on these public statement from Russia, it appears that Ukraine will no longer be an actual "country" when this is done.

Large swathes of Ukraine still remain in the dark, with emergency and utility crews currently racing to restore power and heat to major cities, at the moment Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is warning the public to brace for more major Russian airstrikes.

Zelensky told the country Sunday night that the Russians "are preparing new strikes and as long as they have missiles, they won’t stop." Last week saw some of the most brutal and large-scale waves of aerial strikes on Ukraine's energy grid since the war began, leaving at least 10 million Ukrainians without power. 

"The upcoming week can be as hard as the one that passed," Zelensky added in the fresh remarks. Even parts of the country that have had power must endure rolling emergency blackouts. "We understand that the terrorists are planning new strikes. We know this for a fact," Zelensky forewarned.

Waves of orange, glowing lava and smoky ash belched and sputtered Monday from the world’s largest active volcano in its first eruption in 38 years, and officials told people living on Hawaii’s Big Island to be ready in the event of a worst-case scenario.

The eruption of Mauna Loa wasn’t immediately endangering towns, but the U.S. Geological Survey warned the roughly 200,000 people on the Big Island that an eruption “can be very dynamic, and the location and advance of lava flows can change rapidly.”

Officials told residents to be ready to evacuate if lava flows start heading toward populated areas.

The eruption began late Sunday night following a series of fairly large earthquakes, said Ken Hon, scientist-in-charge at the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.

The areas where lava was emerging — the volcano’s summit crater and vents along the volcano’s northeast flank — are both far from homes and communities.

The eruption began in the summit caldera of Mauna Loa late at around 11.30pm, but started overflowing early Monday morning — though experts say it remains confined to the Northeast rift zone, away from the town of Hilo.

Still, any strong winds could carry volcanic gas, fine ash and thin fibers known as Pele's hair downwind to the South Kona shore. 

'Surface flows have come out of the caldera in past eruptions — that's not uncommon,' the United States Geological Survey tweeted. 'It's magma going into the rift zones that is the real concern, because that can develop into a serious situation much more rapidly.'

Over a dozen earthquakes of more than 2.5 magnitude have already struck the region, according to the USGS, with one measuring 4.2 in magnitude. Residents are also advised that periods of snow and freezing fog may occur.

Some South Kona residents have already begun to voluntarily evacuate, though no evacuation orders are in place yet. Shelters are also being set up as a precaution.

Federal Reserve set to introduce privacy-crushing digital currency that can be ‘controlled’ and ‘programmed’ by government bureaucrats

When Barack Obama was in the White House and Democrats controlled Congress for his first two years in office, they passed a bill dubbed “Obamacare” that was the first step toward giving federal government bureaucrats complete control over Americans’ health care.

Since all Americans require medical care during their lives, the move was seen by critics as the ultimate authoritarian move; after all, if the government controls all healthcare decisions, tyrannical government bureaucrats could then begin to dictate behaviors and reward or punish people based on behavior.

Now, the government is attempting yet another major authoritarian move: The creation of a “digital currency” with the endgame objective being to control behaviors through “programmable” money that can influence and/or block certain spending habits.

“The Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Innovation Center, or NYIC, announced that it would be launching a 12-week proof-of-concept pilot for a central bank digital currency, or CBDC,” Coin Telegraph reported this week.

The outlet continued: “In a Nov. 15 announcement, the New York Fed said the program would explore the feasibility of an ‘interoperable network of central bank wholesale digital money and commercial bank digital money operating on a shared multi-entity distributed ledger’ on a regulated liability network. Banking giants including BNY Mellon, Citi, HSBC, Mastercard, PNC Bank, TD Bank, Truist, U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo will be participating in the pilot by issuing tokens and settling transactions through simulated central bank reserves.”

Now, as an engineered recession is upon us, the same Fed will be introducing a digital currency that it can manipulate on behalf of the wishes of the deep state permanent government.

The N.Y. Fed said in a statement: “This U.S. proof-of-concept project is experimenting with the concept of a regulated liability network. It will test the technical feasibility, legal viability, and business applicability of distributed ledger technology to settle the liabilities of regulated financial institutions through the transfer of central bank liabilities.”

“The NYIC looks forward to collaborating with members of the banking community to advance research on asset tokenization and the future of financial market infrastructures in the U.S. as money and banking evolve,” said Per von Zelowitz, Director of the New York Innovation Center.

China To Lax Some Covid Restrictions Amid Mass Protests While Boosting "Vaccination" Efforts

Hong Kong markets and Chinese stocks listed in the US surged in premarket trading as Chinese government health experts made an unscheduled overnight announcement in which they not only vowed to speed up Covid shots for the elderly but to avoid excessive restrictions, fueling a new round of bets that Beijing is bending to the pressure of an economic reopening.

"The vaccination rate of the first dose of the vaccine for people over 60 years old has exceeded 90%, but it is still necessary to continue to do a good job of full vaccination and to strengthen immunization for people aged 60-79, especially those over 80 years old," the National Health Commission wrote in a statement. An official told reporters that vaccination is the best way to prevent severe illness and death, and the elderly benefit the most. The low elderly vaccination rate was viewed as a significant roadblock in reopening the economy, like the rest of the world.

The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index soared over 6%, because as Bloomberg's Sofia Horta e Costa put it, we got "plenty of signaling" on the road to reopening, to wit:

Vaccinations: There was a focus on the vaccination of the elderly. This may seem obvious but it’s one of the major obstacles to China’s reopening. While there was nothing about a vaccine mandate, we heard strong words urging older residents to take responsibility for their own health.

Virulence: One spokesperson detailed the science showing omicron and its sub-variants aren’t as dangerous. Lowering the population’s fear of the virus is an important step toward a panic-free reopening. There was also a bit of self-congratulatory talk around China’s low death rate -- claiming victory over the pandemic also plays into how Beijing will clear the path to move on.

Inconvenience: Health officials said it was paramount to minimize the impact caused by the Covid outbreak. This is somewhat of a reiteration but to investors it suggests the government is concerned about the anxiety caused by its pandemic response.

Excessive measures: The spokespeople said some local governments are taking lockdowns too far, imposing measures without prior approval from the central government. Restrictions should be limited in scale and length, and local authorities must respond quickly to “reasonable” requests from residents. If not they will be named and shamed.

As Horta e Costa put it, "the key to tracking shifts in China’s Covid Zero policy will come from official tone, language and signaling -- reading the tea leaves might be a high-risk bet but investors seem happy with what they got today."

What could come next is further details on China's reopening plans, but officials fell short of announcing those steps as the economy is stuck in a perpetual state of harsh zero Covid curbs. The pledge to bolster vaccination is seen as a step towards reopening.  This all comes after unrest erupted over the weekend across cities from Beijing to Shanghai and Chengdu. People are frustrated with zero Covid policies that have disrupted business activity and slowed economic growth.

President Joe Biden on Monday asked Congress to pass legislation to reach an agreement between railroad workers and management after he failed to reach an agreement.

“I am calling on Congress to pass legislation immediately to adopt the Tentative Agreement between railroad workers and operators – without any modifications or delay – to avert a potentially crippling national rail shutdown,” Biden wrote in a statement issued by the White House.

Biden admitted in the statement his advisors and cabinet officials believed there was “no path to resolve the dispute at the bargaining table,” despite his and his administration’s best efforts.

Nearly 7,000 freight trains could be idled by December 9th if an agreement is not reached, costing businesses up to $2 billion per day.

Populist House Republicans Rejecting "Woke" Corporations Over Draconian ESG Policies

Lobbyists for “woke” corporations adopting “equality and climate goals” have reportedly faced problems when meeting with populist House Republicans.

As corporations are adopting “equality and climate goals” across the county, the lobbyists for some corporations are “going to have a hell of a time getting back into the good graces of Republicans,” John Feehery, a former House Republican aide who now works at EFB Advocacy, a lobbying firm, told Bloomberg.

Bloomberg’s Laura Davison explained that corporations and their representatives who are starting to meet with the incoming Republicans — which are typically meant to be friendly after an election —  are not going as well this year, according to one lobbyist business association, who asked not to be identified to speak freely.

The lobbyist said that the issue for the incoming freshman class of Republicans is the “deep-rooted opinions and little experience with trade policy, the debt limit or the policies surrounding [Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policies].”

ESG policies, as Breitbart News has previously reported, are a form of leftist activism in financial investing that has become the latest vector to influence the way Wall Street financial firms and corporations continue to take social and political positions that do not relate to their business, such as stances associated with climate change, as well as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) agenda. For example, Wall Street firms, such as BlackRock, sell ESG as a way to invest according to specific criteria that the political left pushes on voters and consumers.

Davison wrote that the breach between populist Republicans and big business started with former President Donald Trump — who recently announced a bid for a third term — when he attacked the corporate executives from when many companies decided to suspend campaign donations to Republicans who denied the 2020 presidential election result after the January 6 incident.

However, Davison also acknowledged that many lawmakers, lobbyists, and former congressional aides emphasized that the tensions with the new group of Republicans are because the new group is more focused on social and cultural issues than business priorities.

Additionally, as Davison mentioned, many of the faces in Congress have changed over the year, as over half of the Republicans that were in office in 2017 will not be there in January when the new group is sworn in. For example, Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH), an ally to the business community, and Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX), the top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee, are both retiring.

Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), who heads the Republican Study Committee, characterized the split between corporations and Republicans to Bloomberg as a divorce, which has made his party healthier. He also alluded to his party focusing on American workers and being able to put more distance between itself and ESG policies, which he told Bloomberg is a “scam” that hurts Americans and helps China.

Montana ‘Mountain Man’ Sues US Forest Service To Protect His Private Property, Road Contract

Wilkins has called Montana home for more than 40 years. He bought his property, just over nine acres adjacent to the Bitterroot National Forest, in 2004. When he bought the property, surrounded by pine trees and with plentiful birds and wildlife, it corresponded to a vision he’d had his entire life.  

“I’ve always had a desire, always had in my mind this picture-perfect place, where I’m living on this valley floor and I look across and I see the mountain ridges, and then up above all of it is a snow-capped granite mountain peak,” he says. “That’s just my ideal of the perfect place to live — and that is exactly where I live. I can walk out in my front yard and I can look to the northwest, and right there is Trapper Peak with a 10,000-foot snowcap mountain peak. And then in front of that, you have the rolling hills and it comes right on down to the river.” 

Outside his front door sits Robbins Gulch Road, built and maintained by the U.S. Forest Service, the result of a limited easement granted to the Forest Service by the property’s previous owners in 1962. That agreement permitted the Forest Service to build and maintain this unpaved access road through the private property, now owned by Wilkins and his few neighbors along the road, into the national forest, primarily for purposes of timber harvesting and general maintenance.  

Importantly, the 1962 easement did not grant access for general public use — the road was to be for Forest Service employees and permitees only. When he bought his spread, Wilkins wasn’t entirely enthused to have the road on his property. But since the easement agreement restricted the road’s usage, he figured he could live with it.  

Unfortunately, it soon became clear the government was not abiding by the terms of the original agreement. Wilkins says that after the Forest Service posted signs encouraging public use of the road for visitors seeking entry to the national forest, traffic and parking increased dramatically. Wilkins and his neighbor have endured trespassing on their property and even theft — someone stole a pair of elk horns he had mounted on his porch. One of his neighbor’s dogs was killed by a speeding driver, and at one point someone shot Wilkins’ cat (which survived).  

Wilkins reviewed the easement agreement, which clearly designated Robbins Gulch Road as a right-of-way for limited use. But discussions with the Forest Service to get the agency to honor its agreement were fruitless. Wilkins hasn’t forgotten the response from a district ranger: “He crossed his arms, leaned back in his chair, looked at me and he started laughing,” Wilkins recalls. “He said, ‘Wil, you can always sue us.’ And that’s when I said to myself, ‘OK then, I will.’”

Wilkins connected with Pacific Legal Foundation and we’re helping him and his neighbor, Jane Stanton, to defend their property rights. We’ve reached the Supreme Court after years of litigation to stop the Forest Service from abusing the easement to effectively take their land without compensation — a clear violation of their constitutional property rights.  

Wilkins notes he’s not asking for special treatment; he just wants the government to agree to “what they wrote and said they would do.”

Science: A triple helix to cripple viruses

A technique to insert a third strand of DNA into the double helix of specific genes could be used to throw a spanner into the works of the cell’s machinery. 
The American scientists who developed this triple helix, or triplex, technique hope to eventually cripple viruses in this way. 
The same approach could also inhibit the hormone progesterone, and so terminate pregnancies.

Ever since the discovery of the double helix, it has been known that there is room for a third strand of DNA, filling in a groove in the helix,
says Michael Hogan of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

But until recently, there was no way to predict which sequence of nucleotides
– the letters of the genetic alphabet – would form this third strand.

In 1986, Hogan began to investigate ways to design such a third strand.
He founded a company in Houston called Triplex to develop commercial products based on this technology.
 
Hogan worked from the exact sequence of a target gene, and deduced rules for designing a single strand of nucleic acids that would bind to that gene.
He then synthesised a strand, generally only 25 to 35 nucleotides long. Such short pieces of DNA are readily assimilated into the cell’s nucleus, 
where they attach to the gene.

At places where this third strand attaches, forming a triple helix, genes are prevented from functioning normally.
Proteins known as ‘transcription factors’, which normally bind to the double helix and switch on specific genes, cannot gain a foothold on the triple helix.
