I think the conclusion of those studies is that you inevitably do develop that. It's like arthritis. But just like with arthritis you can go out of your way to do things to push it back. So far I'm not really feeling that way either, although I was never very open to anything but the 2-3 genres I prefer. It's not like I was out there listening to anything and everything when I was 20, quite the opposite
