I got another 8GB of RAM and cleaned the GPU's fan today. I haven't tried many games yet, but PlanetSide 2 now uses up to 9.8GB of RAM (as opposed to the 7 or so it was using previously) and hitching is completely gone. Hopefully this will also mean no more lockups during non-gaming, desktop use. Because the GPU fan was extremely dirty (like, fully functional terrarium dirty) that cleaning I did made a difference too. Temps went down from 98-99° at max load to 92-94° >>/55971/ It's mostly circumstances outside of my control in my case so I just leech off other people and play videogames now. It's what I should've always done, but I watched too much normie TV as a kid
