no I agree. youtube rec'd a video of it last night and all the guy was doing was clicking on menu entries. in theory that's all optional and you should be able to just fly around and do things yourself, but I guess the endgame meta is building your own empire, so the game becomes increasingly abstract and menu based as you progress
