I was just reading about this uruguayan wallet app (technically there's two of them by the same company, the second one being new and shiny and increasingly popular) that pocketed probably millions of dollars from random users' accounts. They either charge them for random totally unplausible stuff like payments to a car wash in the US or the money vanishes when making a transfer. Their trustpilot page only has 1 star reviews, 348 of them, and I've been seeing reddit posts from people complaining too. Hilariously they're a publicly traded company in the US
