it's a sort of verification code that this program can generate when fed any particular file, for the purpose of verifying that the file you downloaded was the same one that was uploaded, and not corrupted or altered in any other way before it made it to your PC. so you can tell if it's fine before running it by comparing your checksum for the file (once it's on your disk) to the one that shows up on their website. more of a loonix nerd thing, you don't normally see it on the download pages of normie programs. hell most people don't even use windows or programs anymore they just use their phones and the "play store". fucking normies
