There are countless videos and audio recordings of him, people who have met him and talked about him, and so son. He lived not that long ago and I think it would be pretty difficult to fake all of that. With Jesus, it was 2000 years ago and the further away it is the more difficult it is to verify it. But even if all of J. K. were fake or staged somehow, his teaching still stands on its own, which is not to join any religion or to trust any authority, but rather to find truth for yourself.
