I haven't used Paint.NET in many years but it's probably much better for quick tasks. The imageviewer I use, ImageGlass, has a cropping tool so I do that with it but for everything else I use GIMP. Takes like half an hour to load every time, but it makes me so much cooler than Paint.NET users
